To the politicians and their ilk -
Our country doesn't just want power shows but it wants its people empowered,
Empowered not through opportunistic politics of subsidies but through creation of opportunities,
Opportunities that would be not be biased on the basis of caste but on one's willingness to grow and know,
Know clearly that our country needs more than just opinions and debates,
It needs concrete numbers, results and outcomes to show.
-------
A rather short piece going by my standards. So, lets live up to the bhaatu reputation.
Have been thinking about this for quite sometime, making hollow promises to oneself knowing that their would be no repercussions of any sort (after all pursuing one's latent talents' could be considered a luxury, something to easily squander).
Anyway, I lost my phone in December at the Howrah station. Despite my level of gadget/software savvyness and my initial inertia to any tech-change, I had gotten pretty used-to my lumia (I guess 510). A good habit that I had developed was writing whatever that there was there on my mind on my way to the office via metro. Around Sept & Oct last year was a specially tough period for me, and there were so many deep, exploratory feelings and thoughts that came gushing in and kept surfacing that I had written almost 30 days on the trot (during those 15 minutes of the metro ride).
I am lazy and really it takes me a lot of time to start something. Anyway, just so that I don't lose something that I hold so dear (yes, because they help in understanding myself better or in some-ways the world as well or maybe both as they are inseparable), I am going to use the Nike slogan - Just do it.
What do I get in return - Daily dose of Inner peace, sanity, chastity, penance, detoxification and maybe a more tangible gift - to be thought of at a later stage (not counting the chickens before the eggs hatch).
